Great Summer Reading

Just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Once I sorted out the myriad characters, both major and minor, it was an enjoyable read, right to the end.

Now I'm reading Dominance by Will Lavender, a thriller. So far, it's a fascinating read.

A Beautiful Creature, Indeed!

When I took my morning walk in the woods surrounding our home, the beautiful creature you see here visited me. The first morning, when I took a rest and sat in a lawn chair along one of the paths, I heard a soft noise. I turned and saw him. Apparently, he wanted to get my attention. The third morning, I took my camera with me and this is what I got. He was no more than 6 feet from me in a tree on the lowest branch, looking straight down at me. What a beauty!

Working Title for Mystery---Murder By Multiple Choice

Am working on my next book---a mystery. The working title Murder By Multiple Choice has been helping me to stay focused. Also watching the Casey Anthony trial when I can has also led me in profitable directions.

Again thanks to all of you for downloading the Kindle version as well as purchasing the paperback edition from Amazon of my first published novel, Never Give Up.

Great Trip to Shanghai

I had a wonderful trip to Shanghai and enjoyed every moment with my dear friends Heather, Jeff, Katie, and Ellie Hein. Returned home yesterday afternoon and gained my day back. We saw so many sites and took 295 photos. Now I can easily relive what I visited while there. And the flight wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be, only a bit less than 14 hours.

Here is one site--a man washing something in the river in a water town in the province abutting Shanghai province while another man is in a boat:

Back to WI Safely

The trip back from FL was uneventful. Managed to get through the rain in TN and KY and reached IN before the tornadoes hit TN.

The proof for Never Give Up was waiting for me. Already sent it back with corrections and am now awaiting the second proof. That should do it!

All in all, the entire month turned out beautifully.

Exciting News

My month in Florida is coming to an end. I expect to leave this coming Sunday. My time spent here in the warm weather was extremely fruitful. I enjoyed walking in 77-81 degree weather everyday. I worked at getting my novel, Never Give Up, into paperback and am now awaiting the proof copy. Then those of you who do not have a Kindle will now be able to purchase a paperback copy from Amazon.

Again thanks to the many who have already downloaded my Kindle copy. It's such a joy being able to write.

FL Beautiful in February

Once again, FL was my destination for a month of writing, walking, and talking with friends. So far this February, the weather has been delightful. Today was a bit cooler, a mere 58 degrees for a high, but WI is bitter cold---5 above today! And it's supposed to dip down to 4 below tonight. No thanks. I'll always opt for warmer weather and sun.
